OT what is your passion...and why?

Music.

I'm a professional listener. Never learned to play a lick, but I spend hours a day listening to one of my Bose systems. I'm 52 and just recently had six 'Memphis Sound' speakers installed in my 4Runner to replace the factory's. And all my tvs have soundbars.

Spotify premium has been the greatest thing ever for me. Now I can listen to nearly every song ever made.

I'm sitting here listening right now, looking at the Tennessee River from my condo in Alabama. Lynyrd Skynyrd, of course. My dad was similar. I remember him listening to Johnny Cash, Three Dog Night, etc. records when I was a kid while other dads were watching TV. He actually sang background vocals on my uncle's country record.

And the Crimson Tide.....

Ah yes, surfing. Heavenly bliss, the endless search for the perfect wave. Time consuming for sure, and far more athletic than most realize. Ridden at least a thousand waves, so there must have been a few perfect curls in there. Alas, my bones and joints will no longer allow me that pleasure.

Sailing, a close second... perhaps even more enjoyable, but oh so expensive. Another lovely passion I have not been able to afford for quite some time.

Audio... yes, music, but so much more. The perfect endless persuit for the perfectionist. As each component is upgraded, it only tends to make the next weakest link stick out like a sore thumb. I've had more invested in audio than most spend on a car... and just who makes the best speakers or discreet amp changes over time. Just when everything is working in harmony, the audiophile finds himself with nothing to do, so it's obviously time to start all over again.

I could have sworn I posted to this yesterday but don't see it. Did I break a rule of something?
