Convertible, please don't get ahead of yourself. Yeah, a PSA of 6.2 is on the high side for your age, and yeah, biopsy is really the only way to know what is going on in there. Odds are that you don't have PC, and even if you do, it's going to be low grade and not need treatment any time soon.
It's hard to do--but do take it one step at a time. Get the biopsy done. After your slides get read, if you have any positive cores, ask for them to be sent to Johns Hopkins for second opinion. THEN you can start looking for treatment--maybe.
As far as BJC-Siteman-WashU goes, they are top notch. One of the best. I also lived 2 hours drive from St. Louis (rural Illinois for me), and had my surgery there. It's been all good since. But, again, that's something that is several steps away from the here and now for you.
Breathe. Relax. You have time, use it wisely.
