Its been over a month since I've been on the forum lads. The surgery went well and I wanted to return to normality for a while and take a break from my dragon. The last few days waiting for my first result post op were lived in a state of limbo. I waited 3 months. When I got my result this morning I pulled in by the lake near my local village and jumped in.
PSA <0.03. I will keep that text message on my phone for a while I think.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your support. It has been a guiding light through a tough time. My dragon will always be with me but he has returned to his cave and hopefully he will feel no need to resurface. He has taught me a great deal and for that I am thankful. If he returns in my future he returns and I will look him straight in the eye and ask him what he wants just like I did the first time.
I will check in from time to time and hopefully contribute something halfway sensible.
For now I am going to go live this crazy life the best way I can.
Love from Ireland

Great! Drinks are on you--I'll pass on the Guinness, but if you can suggest a good Irish brown ale, I'll have one in your honor....

Hello Dharmalcolm ~
You were diagnosed in your 40s, just as I was ...
Your experiences will give HOPE to some of the younger brothers, here on the website, who have experienced a health diagnosis, before the age of 50 years of age.
When I first got diagnosed, one of my doctors told me, "Right now, you're my youngest prostate cancer patient."
Sure enough, my own dad is a prostate cancer patient, who stands alongside us ...
It's good to have a wide range of members here, each one contributing their own experiences and perspective.
Thanks for sharing your story --- it sounds like you are doing WELL !
Enjoy the summer season ahead,
