Interviewed a new MO last friday for a 2d opinion, fired my Uro and old MO after a two hour meeting with the new guy and his team. Learned a lot, no real change in the DX but he checked my PSA and it's 0.4 after 9 weeks of Lupron. Started me on Zytiga. I have peace of mind with the new doctor. Really makes a difference when you have confidence in your medical team, he spent over an hour with me and my wife to ensure we understood all the options, risks etc. Interesting most of it was in line with what I've learned here on the forum, can't say that about the old team of doctors input. So for me this was the first good news I feel I have received since I started down this road. I'm still kicking and don't plan on slowing down.

Gods 0n ya Rick, for taking matters into your own hands. As we always say to each other, you’ve got to be your own advocate. And you are a great example of that.

Nice drop in the PSA too.

Great going Rick, next stop undetectable. I am also no Onc Doctor, far from it, just an average Zytiga patient, but I am claiming this ahead of time for you! < 0.0x whatever their lowest test at your lab is

Good on you Rick. That's half the battle right there. Went through 3 uros before I found one. (the first one proved docs are not immune from having severe personality disorders)

HappyRick you are now on the same regimen as me. Only difference is I had a RALP 1st. Hoping you get the same results I did on your next PSA and you can join the zero club. You may not know it but there is an ice cream reward waiting.

This sounds like a great move on your part --- I can tell from your message you have made the right decision and put together a medical team that's right for YOU.

That's worth its weight in gold. My local oncologist is a GODSEND for me --- I check in with him every month, and he is THERE FOR ME, whenever I need him.

Sounds like you have made some great, strategic moves, in the chess game ...

On the treatment forefront, LUPRON is kicking in for you already and wreaking havoc on those pesky cancer cells ... LUPRON is a mighty "sword and shield" already working for you in the battle.

Your next step, as you mentioned ... ZYTIGA ... I have been on ZYTIGA for three solid years now ... I keep the empty bottles, just as a way to mark my progress. You can perhaps visualize 36 ZYTIGA bottles, all lined up on a shelf at my place.

I should mention that ZYTIGA ended up making my PSA drop down to the lowest point I had experienced since I was diagnosed. I hope it works wonders for you!

Thanks for the tip, great information and the comments about drinking lots of water with Zytiga in the "collective experiences" has really helped me.
