Reachout, I am so glad the cashless diet worked for you. I TOTALLY believe in it
But unfortunately it didn’t work for me. I have been trying it since last November
Or so. For the last 3 months and since you couldn’t do the oat meal in the
Morning, I switched and ate my lunch(hummus, salad) in the morning as
Per cashless suggestion and I skipped lunch all together and ate only
2 meals a day. I am doing something wrong but have no ideas what and
It’s so frustrating to me. I just got my psa yesterday and it went up to .36
I left weight and my T went up to 560. when my psa was .22, my T was around
400. Is there a correlation there, I don’t know. I say away from sugar spikes
Always. You mentioned tacco veggies, aren’t you worried about the bread ?
I was also on Pomi T months ago but nothing works for me.
I'm sorry to hear you are not having the success that some seem to have.Although, there is no real way to know if it helps or hurts any one person. If the #s stop going up or head down, then we can at least say "well, that does not appear to have hurt and might even have helped, so might as well continue". But if it keeps going up, how can we be sure it would not have gone up a lot faster with a different diet?
How much vitamin D do you take, if any?(EDIT: and Vitamin K2 if any?) That may sound ridiculous to ask considering a recent RCT looking at once a month megadoses of vitamin D(as opposed to smaller daily doses) andfinding it useless, but at least it showed no harm even with those megadoses, and there are some other RCTs showing excellent results with breast cancer and a few other conditions, like diabetes and metabolic syndrome. So my G9 self is not quite ready to write it off yet, maybe later.
I suppose you get plenty of raw broccoli in this diet? I say raw because cooking much at all tends to destroy the enzyme in the broc that releases the sulforaphane, the good stuff. This tends to be destroyed in frozen broc as well. But, if you boil the broc no more than 30 secs or steam 3-4 minutes max, it actually tends to release even more of the good stuff. (or add the enzyme myrosinase contained in other foods like cole slaw, dicon radish, mustard powder(1/4 teaspoon) etc.
If you just can not get the results you want with your current approach, have you considered- rather than going vegy- simply going to a ketogenic diet, with plenty of fat and just adequate protein and very little carb? Combined with some version of intermittent fasting? Or, if that is not appealing, maybe just whatever diet you like but adding intermittent fasting, if not already doing so? (you probably are!)
Especially if you use any form of heart burn/reflux medicine anyway, have you considered cimetidine, an old, over the counter heart burn drug? It works by blocking histamine. There have been some associations with lower histamine and lower colon cancer. And, as always, colon cancer is not PC. But, if you take any heart burn meds anyway? I'm not saying I know any of the above will help, but seems unlikely to hurt and you never really know. As always, ask your docs for safety reasons!
/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22944376/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15816467Last, you might also want to research a supplement that works much like metformin(unless you are already on metformin, of course- but either way, ask your docs about
it) Berberine
mct.aacrjournals.org/content/5/2/296.longAll of the above may be totally worthless, but then again some of it-as well as what Reachout mentioned- might be worth researching.
