Hello Folks
New to this great forum! It is an invaluable resource.
My story is Gleason 6 diagnosed a couple of years ago at Hopkins, 5% one core on TRUS biopsy; now on AS there. They are now advising a second biopsy which has me shaking (literally)... my first hurt BADLY and the only thing that stopped me screaming was the desire to throw up.
This time, they tell me that they have switched to transperineal biopsies and it appears they are using the PrecisionPoint device for this. Given that it may take a couple of linebackers to get me back through that door... can anyone comment on this new PP device, the procedure or experiences thereof?
I don't want to do it, but know it's the prudent thing to do... and as they say, information is power.
Anyone familiar with this or the Hopkins TP's?
Howie
