Ok I’m bummed and depressed ...but I think things may be getting better ...seems like all I have is constant gas now whisk I hope will subside ...don’t think it’s proctitus .urinsting what can I say ...limiting myself to 7-cups s day ...trying to start doing what I did before radition just maybe a bit healthier ...i am awful with diets and pills and all that crap .....I just have to stop thinking that surgury would hsve been a better option ..

Stan...that's the spirit! Caffeine is an irritant to the urinary tract and gut, so cutting back a bit will help..you might also sleep better--once you get past the withdrawal headache, that is.

The gas will pass. And then it will be less a problem. You're on the mend. Really.

You should only drink when you are thirsty. This is a time when fluid restriction is a good idea. No fluids at night at all. No coffee, tea, alcohol, or fruit juices of any kind.

Stan, are you walking- treadmill, neighborhood, even around the house?
Just thinking that might help with the gas and your depression.
This is going to get better.

get some basic medication for depression - I take one tab of bupropion - I’m in great spirits rest of the day!

What medications are you taking? Flomax? Rapaflo? Pyridium? naproxen? Cialis? Probiotics?

Stan, a few suggestions....

Yes, drink enough to keep hydrated--and depending on where you are, that's tough, it's been hot. And that means water, electrolyte fluids, etc. Caffeine is a diuretic, and will make you pee more.

Cut out anything caffeinated 3-4 hours before bedtime. That will give enough time to get rid of most of it. Cut out alcohol too before bed, same problem.

And, as other have said, if you're not out walking, start. 20-30 minutes at a decent pace is good for you. It will strengthen up the pelvic muscles--which helps your urinary muscles. It also helps with the cramping and gas. Doing a little aerobic exercise also helps your mood.

Give it a try--can't hurt, might help.

Glad your starting to see improvement. I wish gas was my only issue...let it out...lol
What TA said about the fluids is dead on.

My RO recommended Beano rather than Gas-x or any other form of simethicone.
He explained that one works in the bowel and the other only in the stomach.
