Why are you getting Prolia, rather than Xgeva, when you have a known spine met? Are you trying to keep the dose low?
Celebrex, when added to Zometa conferred a 22% survival increase in men with mets. I imagine it would be similar for Prolia/Xgeva.

The Prolia is at the suggestion of my Uro and Onco at the time I started it (a few years back). During that time, there were suspected mets in my spine and ribs, but the docs would never make a definitive statement, as they came and went from one scan to the next (they were apparently responding well to the Zytiga and Xtandi).
The definitive statement of "mets" just came a few weeks ago (in mid August). Finally became evident to the docs as well, not just me. I did have the last 6 month Prolia shot in June, so it will be up for review soon.
I will bring this up when I see the Onco (in 10 days). We have a very
open communication, and we spend too much time talking about
options, if you look at the length of my visits.
