Still working full time. Current plan is to work full time until at least 66, but probably just short of 68 so my wife can get to her full retirement age. We bought land last year and are building a larger (something went wrong with the thinking) retirement place on many more acres (again, why I know not -- except my wife has always wanted more land for the dogs and other animals we own (chickens, sheep [so the dogs can herd], and horses [when the barn is built) -- so I need more money to pay for this
Me, I would have taken the CA house money and moved elsewhere -- but not happening when son and daughter in law live near by.
Part of the PCa says quit earlier, enjoy retirement, leave a bit less in any will. But, I do enjoy my work, and it's nice to be able to give my wife the land and house -- and get a new house being built with less maintenance (other than land and animals). Thankfully, the PCa other than the inconvenience of treatments, has had little impact in terms of fatigue or what activities I can undertake. And it definitely oddly enough has made me feel even more blessed with the first 64 years of my life.
