SRT Complete!

This morning I completed my 38th and last SRT. In the end, I really did not think it was a terrible ordeal, other than losing a couple of hours in my mornings.
I did get a little emotional when I said goodbye to my therapists that have been treating me the whole time and when they gave me a hug. I did go out and heartily ring the bell!
I completed all of the treatments without any issues, and I did not have any leakage during the treatment. I was able to have a bowel movement every morning soon after I woke up. But boy did I hit the head as soon as I was off the gantry!
So, how am I fairing after the radiation, and being on ADT now for 4 months? I have not experienced any noticeable fatigue, but as I said in my introductory post, my wife and I are quite active. I have had hot flashes, but they seem to be better since I have been drinking 2 or 3 glasses of chocolate soy milk a day. Frequent urination is definitely an issue, but I mange it by watching when I drink. I mostly drink lemon water, and an occasional beer or two when we got out to eat.
We have a followup appointment in 2 weeks to discuss if and how much longer I stay on Lupron. That should be an interesting conversation; I will update after the appointment.
As a gift to ourselves for completing the radiation marathon, my wife and I had a wonderful couples massage this afternoon.

Congratulations! It does feel good to get it done, say goodbye to staff and fellow patients, and of course, ring the bell.

Let’s hope the PSA stays down from here on out.

The couples massage was great! My wife gave it to us for our 46th anniversary. We were in the same room, and covered up. There were 2 massage therapists and they worked over your whole body. Genitals were covered...

The things a guy has to say to stave off a an inappropriate query...one in every crowd...look ashamed...boys to men...they don't say when...

Sounds fantastic. Thanks for the info. I've seen it advertised at the spa my wife goes to and wondered about it. Think I'll have to try it after a coupe of undetectable uPSA results.
