I Hate Water

Congratulations Pratoman! As i said before, i did get a little emotional when I rang the bell, and I can relate to the feeling about the last pass.
I am slightly ahead of you; had my last (hopefully) 3 month Lupron 2 weeks, and no blood work until may.

I hate water too--and I gave up coffee so I could hold my water for over an hour.

Yep, now the wait begins. Yet , as out of character for me as it is (was?) i am not real anxious . I am sure that when the time comes in May for my first possibly meaningful PSA test comes i will be nervous. But right now, i feel ok with everything. Its 7 months until May, I'm not gonna waste it by giving too much thought to this. I'd rather go to Florida for the winter, and enjoy every minute.

I've said to my wife, my kids, and a few close friends, the worst possible outcome is that i go BCR again, and if that happens, i'll just go back on ADT, which will likely work for me for a long time (at least according to my Decipher Grid Report), and turn this disease into a lifelong annoyance. But it still wont remove me from the planet. So i will just plan on having some fun while i wait. (but I'll still go to temple every once in a while to pray, just because it will feel good)

I'll agree about the water. I put it right up there with milk. If milk was so great, wouldn't adult cows be drinking it?

Congratulations on another milestone, Prato. We all hope and pray that this keeps the beast at bay for a long time.

Ah, yes ... the water regimen ...

Last spring, I went through nine solid weeks of radiation ... 44 treatments, plus the practice run the day before ...

I had a measured water bottle ...

I have to say, though, that the treatments helped me, more than I ever imagined. Since last spring, my PSA has crept down, bit by bit ... and a few days ago, my main oncologist used the word "undetectable" to describe my latest PSA results.

But, now that you're on the other side ... time to step away from water ... while you discover other sources of hydration.

Ken water is all about the source and container. I find it most tasty when it comes from a bourbon bottle, wine bottle or beer bottle. Best wishes on a nice Florida winter.
