Yesterday when I met the Urologist and before I had the 2nd PSA test with the great results, he was telling me that we were looking at two years of Radiation & Lupron, treatments, He mentioned that UCLA has a study underway where they have been successful in locating where the cancer had spread too. Stated the cost was $5000.00 out of pocket, and that it probably wouldn't be available to the general public for at least three years. Gratefully as I stated my second PSA test yesterday came back at 0.02, Has anyone else heard of this study? It would be great if the R.O knew where to aim the beam at.

Perhaps this is a trial evaluating a PSMA directed tracer. This method appears to be the most sensitive one currently available.
Whether focusing the beam on sites that appear to be cancerous is of actual benefit is a bit beyond me. Where is Tall Allen to enlighten us on this topic?

Jerryo, with your post RP PSA numbers, save your money and spend it on something enjoyable..Put your head into a better place...

Agreed, and I doubt that any scan (as of today) can detect the source at such a low PSA (0.02 ng/mL)

There must be more to this, Jerry!

Two years of radiation & Lupron treatments, $5K out-of-pocket, and a PSA of 0.02???

Yes with my numbers at 0.02 the comment was not for my case, but for my brothers out there who are looking for better tracking of where the cancer had spread to.The Urologist mentioned to me before my retest, when the first test showed my to be at 2.04.
