9 Years for this G9 guy w/bone mets

It’s been 9 years since I was diagnosed with Gleason 9 PC and like 8 years since bone mets were found. Even still, I’ve been able to go on Intermittant Hormone Therapy (IHT). Just had a scan a few days ago and all is stable. I’ll be going back on some form of therapy in the future, but have enjoyed the current break that I’m on.

Thank you all for your support and information over the years. HW is and always has been a great place for knowledge and support.

Thank you for stopping in and providing an update. It seems you've fared well considering the crappy hand you were dealt, zapping mets when they're found and your PC remaining hormone sensitive through carefully administered IADT. Good luck to you going forward and I hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving yourself.

Congratulations Jerry. I follow you often because my own numbers (G9,T4) are pretty close to yours. I was diagnosed almost exactly 6 years ago.

I have been on a holiday for 4.5 years now although my psa has gradually trended up to .6. However, scans are clean so I am hoping to get at least another year or more.

Hope and prayers that your current holiday is at least as long as your first.

Hi Jerry - congrats on your continued good news. My husband was just diagnosed in a similar situation in August. Had one positive node, but no mets on bone scan or CT just prior to surgery. Post op psa 0.06 at 3.5 weeks and 0.07 at 2 months out (different machine). It was good to read of your success as we begin this journey. May you continue to have good reports.

Great work Jerry. As in my case the worry and anxiety early on were never confirmed and the online education from here and everywhere else (deleting the absurd and dangerous and adjusting for truly helpful content) made life livable and productive. Jerry helped in that regard as did all of you here.

Dx May 2006 G9, RP, post RP psa 2.7, ADT intermittent 12+ years, two mets during off period 2012 (+RT), currently mono Xtandi 2/day. psa 0.039 and stable.
