.... "No evidence for extra prostatic metastatic disease." Further down on the report under "Legend" it says "Local tumor involvement = Unifocal organ confined tumor. Left mid, left apical sextant is involved: THEN it says "No positive region lymph nodes" AND THEN "no distant metastases."
Sounds good! Just thought I'd raise the issue to be thorough.

Jim... how was your recovery? Was the surgery robotic? I was told I'd stay overnight and leave the next day. AND...lol... what made you decide to do surgery as opposed to radiation?
Robotic, stayed overnight, up and walking at 5 AM, had catheter for a week. Nothing unusual. I do have incontinence. I'm not surprised. I read (Patrick Walsh) that odds are greater for men who had TURP for BPH (I had it twice) and men over 70 (almost there.) Most days one pad is enough but it is worse for me at night (contrary to the usual situation)
I did talk to a second surgeon, a radiation oncologist, and medical oncologist. I probably didn't fully consider the case for radiation. I have to admit that I had a prejudice for surgery and when everyone (including the RO) said surgery is a good option for me, I moved ahead on that front. Some of the other guys here might give you more to think about
concerning radiation. Also, some of the G9 guys might have an opinion. Just thought I'd give you mine and I'm glad you're getting good professional help. Keep up the good work.
