Stiff legs and pain

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced stiff legs and pain when walking after their three month ration of Lupron and Prolia?

I was on Lupron only, but experienced muscle pain and spasms in my lower legs and increased joint pain in my knees. I do have very bad knees to begin with, but while on Lupron, and still waiting for it to get out of my system, the pain in my muscles and knees continues. I was on Lupron for 18 months. My last shot was in July 2018.

Same here. Not only legs and hips, but knees as well. Onc. at clinic says he wants to keep me on it as long as it is working. Oh well - watcha gonna do.

Mr. Bill,

Yes, I walked 3 miles every day to try and fight Lupron weight gain. I had joint pain in my knees so I wear elastic knee braces that I purchased in a local pharmacy. I also wear an ankle and foot brace to fight planters faciitous caused by walking too much. For muscle spasms I put a bar of Ivory soap in my bed. Not kidding... it works. Lupron is a “pain” but it works.

My husband has been on Eligard for 1 yr and the stiffness in the joints , muscle fatique and soreness has been the biggest side effect so far. However, I can t imagine what the PSA would be without the Eligard so if that is our only option, we ll take it. Best , JKO

I have been on Lupron 2.5 months as part of a 6 month treatment program and have had 16 of 28 sessions of RT. Have been getting calf cramping and muscle twitching at night that keeps me awake the last couple of weeks. Thought it was from lack of water which has happenned in the past after strenuous exercise and not enough fluids long before this ADT/RT.

Cross country skiing at a strenuous level every day in preparation for some compititions in March and it is mostly the classic style which uses more calf muscles for motion that gets my muscles all fired up. Have been skiing for years with really no issues regarding calf cramps at night. Now I know who the culprit is.

Me too. Stiff hip and weakness on side where the needle went in and placed the depot. Felt like pulled quad and glute. Good news is that one month after the six months on Lupron ended, all is back to normal — range of motion, strength, even the abdominal expansion has disappeared.

Dave, Where are you cross country skiing at? I'm from northern mn and we had pretty good snow then it rained and it got pretty poor slowly coming back couple of snowfalls at a time. I have stiffness in the joints , muscle fatigue, cramping in the calf muscles but am pretty sure that is coming from my degenerative disc disease and soreness. This along with general fatigue has been the biggest side effect from Lupron.

I got very stiff legs, neck and arms. I remember how difficult it was looking over my shoulder when I was backing up.

Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre and Silver Star Resort, Vernon, BC. opened November 1st and there has been powder skiing ever since. We are hosting the NorAms (Dec. 7-9), best non world cup north american skiers. Skiied the American Birkebeiner last year in Hayward, Wisconsin. Lots of fun.

amazing I’m four months into a 6 month course of Lupron and I too am having problems with a bad knee that got worse, and ultimately also developed plantar fasciitis. Wearing the knee brace and doing physical therapy helped.
