19T - You're doing just fine, like you knew you would. Yes, it may be a bit disconcerting to see that bump, but as you've read in the research, a lengthy and bumpy trip down to nadir after RT has been found to correlate with better long-term results.
I'm just about 6 months farther down the path than you are, and I also had a bump, then stagnation at around 3. My last PSA, taken just about 2 years post treatment, was back down to 1.93. My RO (Dr. Arica Hirsch) and I are both comfortable with this, for the reasons I just stated.
Dr. Hirsch and Dr. Freeman know each other, and seem to have similar mindsets in dealing with PSA (and patient perceptions of same) post RT. At my consult with Dr. Hirsch last week, she congratulated me on my healthy and constructive attitude in dealing with my bumpy PSA results. For this, I credit the folks here, as they have trained me well about what to expect.
I predict a further downward trend in your future. You're in good hands. Congratulations on staying the course.
