I think it's gonna be an end-of-an-era type game. Not a massive blowout, but a steady beatdown, with the Rams taking a lead in 2Q and, unlike in SB LI, the Pats never looking like they can get back in it.

OOPs my forecast was wrong, I am a bit deflated...I did not know the LA LAMBS would show up! Very Sad. Oh well there's always next..century..and Baseball...strike that ...Boston whomped the LA Dodgers last year also!!!

Yeah, I don’t think anyone can rag on the Patriots for winning the SB this year. They left the door wide open for defeat. The Rams just plain lost. Two very catchable passes dropped in the End Zone. Pats haters have to come up with something better than the Rams’ effort.

Bob, I love Silence of the Rams.
Deadspin has four great articles on this mockery of a football game. My favorite bit, from Barry Petchesky’s “Well, That Sucked,” is: “Defensive showdowns can be captivating, but this was not one of them—it lacked the push-pull drama of the best low-scoring games, its flow never told a real self-contained story, and it had all the tempo of an arrhythmia.”

As I was saying, the un-super bowl. The Saints, who were robbed, would have made it a game. Poor game, uninspired offense, except for Edelman; Gurley MIA; defenses good but not great; ads weird, half time MEH; Gladys Knight and singers - first class; Thunderbirds fly over was super, Brady GOAT, and most fortunate dude (see wife). Goff and Rams over-matched, out coached, and outplayed. SB has sadly become an over hyped, corporate $ generating, party event.

Been a Pat's fan since 1970, Red Sox fan since 1968. Couldn't be happier!

I had predicted that they would do 12-4 regular season, missed it by 1, 11-5, and that they would be the AFC champ, again, be back in the Super Bowl, and win by at least 7. Sure was close.

If the Haters spent more time encouraging their own team, perhaps they could win too.

Should be no doubt, that Brady is the GOAT, even if you hate his guts.

Strange Super Bowl, all defense, but Pat's knew what they needed to do to win, and did it. Just like in the Overtime period at the end of the Kansas City AFC title game. Called getting the job done,

Garyi, MVP shoulda gone to Hightower. The D won that game, MVP had to go to someone in that unit. Hightower snuffed out any hint of a Rams offense.

What a punt-fest. But a win is still a win. And bigger news for those like me who think football exists only to kill time until baseball season returns, today is Truck Day. The big eighteen wheeler left Fenway Park for Florida today with 20,000 baseballs, 1,100 bats, 20 cases of bubble gum and assorted other essential supplies.

I couldn't watch. Too painful. I've also just calculated that my "team", the Miami Dolphins, have already been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs next season! (again)
