Watch carefully over the next few days for signs of an infection--watch for fever, chills, aches, urgent need to urinate or burning urination. Most men never experience the issue, but if observed seek medical attention promptly. Rates of occurrence following prostate biopsy are up to about
15%, as recently published by Mayo; nearly half of those require hospitalization within 30 days. Can be caused by either e-coli or sepsis. Many men here at this site have experienced this. Preemptive antibiotics can reduce but does not eliminate the risk.
