I don’t agree with you, Dr Hero. As a medical term, “rupture” describes the WHAT, not the HOW. Jim’s bladder did rupture (medical def.: a break or tear in any organ or soft tissue); it's the correct medical term.
Exactly HOW it ruptured is subject to forensic investigation, analysis and conclusion, and possible after-the-fact debate. From
my review of the available data (I don't know about
you, but I only have Jim's report), I would agree that it is
possible that the root cause (the HOW) could have been an iatrogenic incision. If it (accidential "nicking" by the blade of the scalpel) was known to have happened during the RP procedure, it
should have been in the surgical report...but my understanding is that these things don't always make it into the reports.
Jim nyc, sounds very rough...and potentially dangerous. Glad to hear you are doing ok.
