Three 5's - No disagreement intended but it seems that cutting the Jack is before counting the hand and pegging and does not fit into either very well although your hand depends on it. Either way it is more points than I have ever got.

Peter Abelard was an 11th century theologian who was criticized for impregnating Heloise, one of his young students and the niece of a wealthy cleric who, in response, hired some men to castrate him. Since I was currently looking forward to two years of HT to deal with my positive margins I was, in effect, hiring men to castrate me. I was not extra-happy about it. The "non" part was a pun having to do with my low expectations in the ED department -- ie. Peter non-Able + ard.

go bucks...Charles...the thought creepy popped into my mind after another posters comments...of course then creepy crawling...was not far behind...oh creepy crawling is the practice Manson and his crew would do...when bored...they would sneak in to homes and do nothing but creep around with the knowledge that they could kill at will...for some reason...the OP reminded of that...just plain creepy...I think most of us would agree the shadow of creep that haunts old what's it's name...its kew he has pca also...…………...I think...

Mumbo: The 2 points taken for a turned jack is taken just before the first card is played thus it fits nicely in the "pegging" cycle. Check with the American Cribbage Conference website.
Halbert: Yes 19 is often called as a way of saying I have no points as it is impossible to have a 19 hand. It is also impossible to have a 25-26-27 hand. A hand or crib consists of 4 cards held and one on the deck.

I didn't think that this thread would be 'interesting' and skipped it, but now that I finally read it, I must conclude that I was WRONG. A lot of thought went into some of these names/monikers.
PS: By comparison, my 'pen' name is BORING, but shows how I like to spend my spare time.

HitchHiker - self explanatory as a phrase unto itself really. It applies from several different interpretations as follows:

1. I come and go over time - having no real internet "home" - hitching a ride on various forums all over the internet - traveling between the forums for free and oftentimes hitching a ride on content posted by others.
2. A reference to HitchHiker's Guide to the Galaxy - one of my favorite reads when I was growing up.
3. Indicates my tendency towards a transitive nature - I can lose interest in things easily and therefore tend to come and go as my interests wax and wane in various areas. I probably have this identity (sometimes as HitchHiker71) on 50+ internet forums easily - across a wide variety of forums and associated topics.

I have always liked eagles..loved Stev Miller's 'Fly like an eagle', .. favorite verse is Isaiah 40:31, prefered Wings OF eagles to Wings AS eagles, .....but you doesn't hasta call me MR Johnson,(from an old comedy routine) you can call me WOE, ...but dont ya call me late for dinner !!!

Back in the day, when the internet was young, my Dad was Termite, and I briefly took the moniker 'grub'. I don't really know where his Termite came from--but it is listed as his nickname in his high school yearbook (class of '44).

FranPro ~ I have been in franchise development for over 30 years and I use that tag on my personal email and some other sites. Not very exciting.

Dman was nickname friends gave me in elementary school from Daron. It was also my first AOL user ID.

I use DerwoodIndy also nickname from bewitched and I live in Indy.
