My dr is asking me to consider a implant. Does anyone have one?

Yes, very happy with mine. No more worries about whether you will be able to get it up, no more needles. Have had it for several years and no problems.

I'm fairly happy with mine. It hasn't made me 18 again but it gives me something to work with.

I've talked to guys who got one and were disappointed but they weren't usually disappointed with the device; they were just hoping that it would solve more problems than just a limp member, and it didn't. Implants do a fairly good job of fixing erectile dysfunction but they don't cure menopause. If your partner has lost interest then fixing your ED may not help that much.

Peter same here! Also am having a problem with testicle pain When I am very active , walking, working hard at six months. To much equipment in a small space. Just saying, implants have their glitches. Go to FrankTalk.org for more info.

Yup, I didn’t think it was worth the effort of implant for more spontaneous sex 6 times/year

I just recently was implanted on 9/5/18 which is only 32 days ago.
I healed nicely and I started cycling n 12 th post op day.
Still not cleared for sex. It will be at 6 weeks post op.
Looking forward to try it.
No more needles, no more sticking my penis. Now, I can inflate it when I want and deflate it when is not needed.
I was implanted with Titan Coloplast which is giving me nice girth but length lost after RP will not be recovered.

Many ways to skin a cat...an implant...being one of many devices in the market place...it really depends on what the goal is...and yes that " truth " is unique...imo

Have a question as to how long it took for successfully having intercourse after being cleared?
Also if the glans (tip) is not rigid ,how is penetration achieved?

Some time the glans is not full .penetration is still possible. Short stay in hot tub seems to liven up the glans. I had all nerves removed at RP. 13 months since implant and it feels real natural now.

The answer to your first question varies from guy to guy but is generally reported as "not very long".

As to the second question, if you look at the diagram on the right side of the Wikipedia page for "Corpus cavernosum penis" you will see that the glans is shaped like a cup and the ends of the left and right cylinders of the corpus cavernosum slot pretty far into it (like a shot glass upended over two breadsticks). Your implant fills the same space. Next time you cycle your device feel for the ends of the inflatable rods while you are pumped up. I think you will be surprised how far forward they extend.

My informal poll of guys here who have implants is that we are mostly fairly happy with them. As far as I know none of us are underwear models, so pleasurable, orgasmic sex with an implant? Yeah, that's why we like our devices.

But chances are you'll have to get past your remaining couple of years of ADT and recovery before an implant will do much for you.

Cajun Jeff, I know you are a ways out from surgery like me... glad to hear you are looking for a change. I decided on my implant 3 or 4 years out (I forget now exactly when), my surgery diary is on this site. Haven't regretted it. Let us know what you decide and how it goes.
