As many of you know my urologist is still testing quarterly due to my initial high risk diagnosis. Also, that he and I have developed an excellent friendly relationship and he normally calls me to deliver the news after a test. I gave blood last week and yesterday, instead of calling me, he called my wife to deliver the news. He said he hadn't spoken with her for a while and just wanted to check in. They had a wonderful conversation and she appreciated his personal approach.

Oh yeah....the results.......another <0.10. So, good for another three months. Since we started this journey I have had 28 PSA tests. Of these 27 have been <0.10 and one was 59.

I love to hear about people who actually have constructive dialogues with their physicians...there's far too much "fire him immediately" sentiment around here in situations where it sounds instead like a good adult conversation is what's really needed. Anyhow, I digress...and I'm glad to hear about your situation. Congratulations!

Great numbers for someone with such an aggressive case (high PSA and T2b). Also encouraging to see that 'triple plays' for such cases can have good outcomes.
With respect to the physicians that I have met on my journey, both the urologist (recommended by my PCP) and the radiation oncologist have been excellent on a personal as well as professional level.

So thrilled to hear this JNF. You were (and still are obviously!) one of the high risk guys who continue to give us hope. GG also had a very high PSA (over 20) and was a T2C, but is hanging in there - coming up to his 3 year anniversary. We can only hope his results are as good as yours! Thanks for being such an awesome regular contributor on the board too - we really appreciate it.
