Karam, Welcome to Healingwell, very sorry for your fathers diagnosis.
That’s a tough case indeed, however it can be managed for a very long time as a chronic disease.

Is the Doctor you are working with a Urologist? I think you should be seeking the advice of a MEDICAL Ooncologist, at a major Cancer Center, or teaching hospital, as a next step.
Where are you located and what is your Fathers age?

To answer your question, adding Abiraterone Acetate to his treatment with Lupron might be very effective. Castration does the same thing that Lupron does but it does it better and cheaper...Where is your Dad being treated ?

Just a thanks to Prato for rescuing a 1st time poster in a different thread. I also agree that Dad should also be on another drug and Abiraterone (Zytiga) works for me.

Thanks for starting a new thread. With lupron doctor has also started bical 50 mg tablet thrice a day. For past three day my dad could take proper sleep. He remains awake all night. Moreover he does not feel hungry.

Welcome to Healingwell! Lots of wonderful support here. I agree with what Prato stated. At an advanced stage it is important to have a medical oncologist involved. When cancer spreads to the bones, organs and/or lymph nodes the standard treatment is systemic and usually involves chemotherapy (docetaxel-look up CHAARTED trial) or Zytiga (look up info on the STAMPEDE trial) My hubby’s MO opted for chemo with casodex (bicalutamide) +lupron which gave my hubby 22 months of keeping the PCa in check. He tolerated chemo very well. He never stopped working or coaching his sons’ sports teams. Now PSA rising and a new plan of care is being worked out. Lots of tx options for advanced PCa. I would also recommend genomic testing of his tumor. Wishing you both all the best!
