How long between your MRI to your fusion biopsy?

10 days, scheduled MRI and biopsy after initial visit since urologist was pretty sure something would show up. The urologist's and procedure room schedule dictated the biopsy scheduling once the MRI was scheduled. Throw in my own scheduling conflicts and it takes weeks to get everything done.

I don't want to give identifying details for my friend. PSA is low-ish (under 10), doubling time was a year and with months of urinary urgency. It's just that his MRI was about a month and a half ago, and the fusion biopsy isn't scheduled until mid-September so it'll be three months from MRI to biopsy and about five months since the first consult with a urologist. That seems long because A. The wait is nerve wracking when you're a newbie and B. There are usually appointments to set up and getting Epstein to check the slides after the biopsy, which will also take time. Sometimes even well-informed patients like him can get lost in the system.
