Kidscaddy, generally speaking, after surgery, PSA should be undetectable. A jump from .03 to ,13 in six months is something that would get my attention. I would be talking to a Good radiation Oncologist about next steps, sounds like salvage radiation and possibly hormone therapy is in his future, the sooner the better. Many surgeons like to wait until PSA hits .2, but most here would agree that is old school, especially with the kind of PSA rise you describe, and radiation Oncologists will usually disagree with a .2 cutoff, especially with positive margins
With all that said, it would help others with helpful responses if we knew his final pathology...Gleason scores, stage, whether there was extra prostatic extension, etc, you can create a signature in your profile that would contain this info, and appear at the bottom of your posts.
