Just had my uPSA & T level results last week - PSA <.02, T 27 - been off ADT for 14 months - T level rising very slowly.

As far as I know there are three such clubs: G8, G9/G10, and pT3. My pathology was G8 + focal areas of 5, which many clinicals view as G9. I'm also pT3. So, I guess I qualify for all three clubs. Lol

I am also eligible for this club. I was diagnosed in 2008 with a PSA of 150 and a stage of PT3b. Roger Wegner

It's great to see some activity in the old clubhouse again... Also 'twas fun re-reading my initiation on the previous page ("The Horse Has Left The Barn Boys") back when my sig was still fairly short and I was so optimistic. Five more surgeries since the RP and a lot of water over the dam since then.

Looks like Bill moved to Cali and soon dropped out of the group, presumably chased away by the same type of individual, if you read his history (Why are you like that?) that makes this forum less than supportive for those who've had a rough go of it.

Well I guess I qualify, too, both for my tumor primary extension and for "the horse has left the barn" in that I have had a bone met. I don't know, though. I have not gone back to read this lengthy thread but usually the horse has left the barn means it's too late to hope for cure. Maybe somebody has brought that up already. T3 certainly doesn't mean it's too late for cure. Anyway, this is the first club I have ever joined so hello to all.

How I felt when PCa was first diagnosed: initially not so bad. But at every new piece of information when the news could have been good or bad it was always bad. PSA up, hope not cancer but it was on biopsy and G8 instead of G6. Then RALP hope for T1 but no, T3b. And a positive lymph node. Then persistent PSA elevation and scan shows another lymph node positive left behind. Bummers galore. Then hope to be done after RT and 18 months of Lupron but no, a bone met. Yikes! So here I am back on Lupron and now Xtandi after RT to the bone. But, I still hope that the horse has NOT left the barn.

And as a sad aside today I had to put down an old horse we've loved for 20 years.

Mattam, good for you on the exercise. In summer I have so many chores to do that wear me out that I don't do any specific exercise. But mowing a pasture, or piling manure with a skid steer is not really exercise. I do cut, split and stack a bit of firewood and that is good exercise. This winter I plan to start some sort of formal exercise program. And a better diet. I know I need it. So far after only 5 weeks on Xtandi I don't feel any different than I felt on Lupron only. I complain to my wife constantly about my fatigue, etc., but as you say the side effects are manageable.

Post-surgery when I saw the pathology report pT3a I researched the odds of a recurrence w/ my grade 3+4 and stage. Most of the studies I read put me at about a 40-45% risk. But this didn't jive with the MSKCC nomogram. At the 3 month post-surgical PSA undetectable test the nomogram had me at only a 6% risk for recurrence at 2 years, 14% risk at 5 years, 19% risk at 7 years and 25% risk at 10 years. At the time I wondered if the nomogram report gave overly optimistic numbers since independent studies put me at a much higher risk level. Any way you slice it - when cancer exits the capsule it's not a good thing. All it takes is one rogue aggressive cell to escape and find a nest. I won't look a gift horse in the mouth. So far I've been lucky. But I'm only as good as the next PSA test. All the best.

I thought “Me Too” was something different. Second opinion gave me a G9 and pT2x from post-op pathology of G7 and pT3a. However, that technicality is pretty much meaningless since not knowing exactly what happened to the horse standing in the open door does not help much since PCa tends to be sneakier than a horse.

gureje - I am getting near a year past and still have odd pains and aches in the pelvic region though much less than the months right after surgery. Never seems to develop into anything and always goes away. There are some post-op things like hernias and lymphoceles that can cause pain so if it really still bothers you on a constant basis, see your doctor and they can check for physical causes and do scans if necessary.
