HDR: 5-year update

Hello All,

It seems like a while since I’ve been here.

I’m two or three years strong with a < 0.1 PSA and my digital exams are all ‘solid’. No issues so I’m considering myself cured. I go for a yearly check now.

I was diagnosed a week after my 30-year high school reunion, at 48 years old. I was very healthy at that point, as I was into CrossFit, basketball, etc. I’ve put on about 15 pounds since then (two surgeries of the toe from the basketball, one torn pec tendon from the CrossFit, and increased beer drinking, maybe from the cancer diagnosis....), but I’m working on that.

My libido is not what it was pre-PCa, and I definitely need a Cialis to get near 100%. I am on auto-ship from Amazon, which is great.

You remember correctly.

I convinced my wife to try it during the week between treatment one and two. It was like a scene from the Exorcist....

My wife told on me too and the doctor scolded me for that, and for going back to work the following day, etc.

HDR Brachytherapy was/has been a great treatment for me so I hope it’s gained in popularity. I get a little nervous before the PSA test but I’m getting used to the <0.1s so it’s not bad.

A fine treatment for a select sub-set of PCa patients....Hope your <0.1s remain and your 'relations' are much improved ;-)

No I didn’t.

I’ve always had low T, and I take a supplement for that and my T usually runs in the 400s now with that.
