What you said a few days ago about not being able to fix sadness really hit me. Maybe so. But maybe it just needed feeling, not fixing, and I'm sure you helped him with that.

Thanks for keeping us informed. Rocky knew, and I'm sure you know, it's really important for us to know the final outcome of all our Brothers' paths.

I like a former Vice President's observation: "The time will come when Rocky's memory will bring a smile to your lips before it brings a tear to your eyes."

.what a thought full man you are rockyford...from that first post advising us of hospice...that was obvious...your sadness is our sadness...your joy is our joy...your present frailty... our lasting fealty...you have done well...know this...fare well...till then...

Dear Beth,
I am just now learning of Rocky's passing. Please accept my condolences. All of us will walk this path one day, and life will escape us whether it be prostate cancer or something else. Rocky was (is) blessed to have such a close family. We often feel helpless, believing that there might be something else we or someone can do. Sadly, we can't. But what we can offer, is our time and love, and it sounds as though you and your family did just that. HIs body now at rest, his spirit is free and lives on in the memories of those he loved and was loved by. If there is a divine spirit, may it bless you and your family during this time of sorrow.

Such a loss to his immediate family, but also to the greater community that we represent. Rocky's writing was exquisite not only for its clinical insight, but more so because it conveyed the best of humanity.

As others already noted, this thread has become so much more than average for this forum or, for that matter, other disease oriented forums. I thank all for their thoughtful and compassionate contributions.
May Rocky rest in peace.

My deepest condolences to you and all if Rocky's family. I have shed tears multiple times in reading about his journey and his final days. We should all have such grace.
