I was trying to remember why he chose the screen name 142, so I did a search and found this:

"Mine has a lot to do with me, but if I told you what, I wouldn't be anonymous.
Come to a GFMPH and smoke a stick / drink Scotch with me, you might learn the answer."

Never had the honor of meeting this man in person. However, it sounds as if he lived life to the fullest.
May he forever rest in peace.

Jim (142) had a job that required a that he keep a very low profile online so he was careful about anonymity. His HealingWell id referred to the regiment in which one of his ancestors served.

Does anyone have a link to an obituary, or a link that would allow notes of condolence to be posted? I think a lot of us would like an opportunity to offer our condolences.

Sad news,
I never met 142, but I always appreciated his thoughtful and tactful moderation of this site. He was one of the key players in keeping this forum the civil place it is.

He had a firm tact (and clever) way in letting us know when we went out of bounds. He has my upmost respect. 142 will be missed. Jake

I just heard that there will be a small graveside service for him, tentatively scheduled for Wednesday. I don't have an address but most likely it will be in Little Rock, AK. More info later.

We'll do something in his honor at GFMPH NY the weekend of Sept 26 or Oct 3. One of his Scotch tasting buddies will send some.
