I was hoping to hear of anyone or anyone that knows anyone that has avoided BCR.
It seems odd that no one seems to know of such a guy.
What is you exact definition of BCR, and of what is long term? If long term is fore ever, there will obviously be far fewer of those, though I'm not sure it is zero. Especially among the lower risk guys like yourself. If 5 years or maybe 8, again especially among the lower risk groups, the numbers are going to be much higher.
One problem is; these days, a lot of guys seek extra treatment far earlier than actual BCR, or even before having a chance to get close to BCR because of their risk level. So that sort of thing might mess with the numbers.
I can't respond either way. First I am a high risk guy and behind on my testing. I WILL pick up the phone any time now and call for an appointment to get it tested. Second, I am high risk and despite a slow steady increase from 18 months of <.01 to .01 to ,02 and then hanging there a while. I TRIPLED to .06 in one reading. Scared me good, but then I stayed there for a couple of years, though who knows right now since I need to be tested. But, if this was 6 months ago, I could offer myself of as an example of one whose PSA has steadily increased but who has not yet BCRed. But of course I can't really do that, as it had only been about
6 years. And I can not be assured about
the next test, obviously.
Are your current numbers higher than what is showing in your signature?
I know you want to hear from someone who has done it, but the guys who might have made it say 10 years might not check in here often and might not see your thread. Have you plugged your numbers into the nomograms?
