I, and I suspect a lot of you, have been reading a good bit lately about
the coronavirus.
The link below, which has the Harvard Medical School stamp on it, and would therefore seem to be reliable information, is something I found that's maybe worth a look.
It provides some answers to the standard questions now circulating, but also admits there is so much we don't know.
But I particularly wanted to cite it because of what it says about
the likely mortality that may be attributable to this thing:
"How deadly is this coronavirus?
The original information from China likely overestimated the risk of death from the virus. Right now it appears that the risk of very serious illness and death is less than it was for SARS and MERS. In terms of total deaths in the United States, influenza overwhelmingly causes more deaths today than COVID-19." (Boldface mine)
