Latest PSA test result!

I had my test completed on March 9 and got my results yesterday. My PCP was on vacation that week. I thought they would have someone get back to me, but I did not go totally nuts. At least not enough to go buy toilet paper.

My last test was a 4.89. This one was 4.84. I must say I am ecstatic! My neck has really been bugging me for about 5 months, and I know it is "mostly" irrational to think that it could be related, but as you know nothing is impossible. Off for another 5.5 months of not worrying and business as usual!

Yes they did a mp-MRI and there was nothing on it. The cancelled the biopsy that would come after that since there was nothing to target. I had a blind biopsy in the fall and they found one core with G6. The original biopsy showed 2 cores G6. The core they found was in the same quadrant as the previous biopsy so no new areas of concern. Chugging along and if nothing changes in the next test another biopsy spring 2021.

I guess I need to add that to my signature. I didn't because there was nothing unusual to report.

I am with Dr. Smith at Vanderbilt.
They are calling for a 1.5 year biopsy.
He said he would go to between 8-10, but that depends on other things such as changes in Biopsy or MRI. My magic number is probably 8 to get something done.

He stated every case is different. If there is a sudden jump to say 6 he would probably do a MRI sooner than planned to see what is going on. If the number just keeps going slow they move the MRI/Biopsy back some, but keep the blood tests coming.

Dr. Smith is an older doctor and supposed to be very highly regarded. I just hope he doesn't retire before I even need additional treatment, if that ever happens.

Your PSA number looks better than mine. I am stoked that mine has stabilized. I hope neither of us ever need further treatment, but I would like my guy to still be around. Were you using Dr. King?
