Here in Pittsburgh there has been much talk about this over the last few weeks. Sounds very promising as the delivery is into the skin which apparently promotes a much stronger antibody reaction, it's easy to make, and apply. It's like a band aid. Sounded like they had already figured out a vaccine for SARS, but the disease faded as did the funding. So this was apparently an easy switch from SARS to Corona as they are very similar. Like many other things it works great on mice and in the lab, but has yet gone through trail phase.
Pittsburgh has a long history of medical advancements and collaborative atmosphere.... someone said,... "the bedrock of the region’s research culture is its strategic partnerships — between the hospitals and universities, between scientists and physicians and between experts and community members willing to volunteer. Without collaboration, the work done here simply wouldn’t be possible — and the amount of cooperation across institutional lines and disciplines found in Pittsburgh is atypical, overcoming bureaucratic hurdles that hinder projects elsewhere".
The whole city is pumped up to get this going and see it through.
...... PS: Regarding their prostate cancer research.... is, well, it's, um, kinda, hmm,.. okay.
