I suppose it was inevitable.
For some, one's COVID-19 mask simply
has to complement the fashionable attire one is wearing, right, darling?
It would seem so for some fashionistas, as this article indicates:
https://nypost.com/2020/03/12/disco-ball-face-masks-bring-pizazz-to-coronavirus-pandemic/OTOH, there are some, such as the nurses in the video below, for whom a decorative mask offers perhaps a little bit of cheer in an otherwise dreary situation:
https://abc7news.com/coronavirus-good-news-covid-19-how-to-make-face-masks-chicago/6063014/ I absolutely respect the nurses' choice of pretty masks, if they think it helps their morale even a little bit.
And if I saw someone wearing a COVID-19 mask with the words "Let's kick COVID's a--" embroidered on it, you know, high-five kind of stuff, well, sure, I'm good with that.
But as for the jewel-encrusted masks some folks are wearing (see short video in first above link), well, for me, that's meandering into the world of weird.
But whatever floats your boat, I guess.
