I've not posted in a long time and am not likely to keep posting here.

This year has been hard on all of us and in May my wife and I decided that I'd retire and we'd move to Reno, NV to be closer to family. That started a whirlwind process of leaving work, buy a home, moving and then selling a home. Things have finally settled down and I'm starting to reconnect to various things and to find new groups and friends here in NV. During the busy time, I just didn't have time to post here.

This month is 9th year of my PC journey. It was this month in 2011 when my doctor noticed an elevated PSA and the rest was the weird PC ride. Since treatment my PSA has been low and shown no signs of coming back. All that time I did participate here.

As I move further from treatment and having any PC to worry about I find myself less connected to and less in need of the support this forum provides. I'd like to think that over the years I've been active here that I've managed to help a few and that was the real reason I hung out here - to help the guys coming here for the first time.

But it's now time for me to move on to other things as I build my retired life. I'll be doing more woodworking, writing and l just got a sewing machine to start doing some quilting that I've long wanted to get into. HW has been a big part of my life for a long time and I'll miss many of the folks here, but it's time. I didn't want to just vanish without saying a bit of a goodbye.

I hate to see any of my "favorite" members leave here, but I freely and sincerely admit that you have earned it. I have a similar situation with another board for a different condition, one at which I have been a participant for over 17 years. At some point, we begin to question our personal relevance to the activity and members currently on board.

I do want to offer you my heartfelt thanks for all of the help and support you gave to me when I was a panic-stricken newbie on HW. Several times you "talked" me down off the ledge and helped me to understand the reality of my own situation, and I am better off for having your help.

I wish you nothing but the best, and a lot of that, as you enter this new phase of your life. Enjoy it well, and as far as I am concerned, you will always be welcome back here.

I guess it us just me ...but I can not help but think if it was not for Tim G...this roll call would neve r have been made down yonder...tis me curse...too much for...where were ya before tha after befor the fall...oh well I suppose...I just can not stand bull crap...that ain't gonna change especially just to be polite..pretense sucks period. having saidf that all moments in time either ignite and for those that spark...good on ya...member it without regrets,,,

You don’t remember Andrew, but I do. When I came here, there was much to learn and who to trust??

You gave me your number. We spoke briefly. Thank you for that. I was in need of people I could trust. You gave me that and I will always remember your sure voice.

I am at once sad for the forum and happy for you.

Not everyone who passes through this forum makes a real difference in the lives of our members, both old and new, but you are one who has done just that.

You will indeed be missed.

But do know that retirement is something that can be enjoyed fully and continuously (I know), and do be looking forward to some good times for yourself and your loved ones.

In sum, as BillyBob says, thanks for all your help.

(P.S. One nice thing about this forum is that the welcome mat is always out, especially for old friends. Drop by and say hi some afternoon when the impulse strikes).

Andrew, you have been and will be sorely missed around here. You’ve always been one of the most valuable and valued members. You’ve certainly done your fair share of paying it forward, helping so many who show up here scared as hell, including me.

As much as I will miss your presence, I’m very happy for you, and wish you a wonderful, long, happy, and healthy retirement.
Please drop by once in a while and keep us posted on how your retirement is going.

For me I will miss your posts and replies very much. You have been a beacon of light during many a dark night for me and for others, for sure. I will miss your wit, your humor, your encouragement, and especially your poetry. I wish you the best, for as we know, the best is yet to come.

I also am easing into retirement, albeit reluctantly. Sometimes I don't know where I am headed. But I will be consoled by your blog site which I want to give out once again to all to enjoy your story. I posted this also on Tim G's thread Missing Persons, as I knew you were not missing indeed.

Andrew, I remember you well from my first time on this board. Even now, when I am re-reading old threads, I will read a post that rings of reasonableness and I will see that it’s yours. I and others will sorely miss your presence and sound guidance. I hope you enjoy retirement and your other pursuits. Good luck!
