It looks like labcorp is no longer waiting for Drs to release. I had a covid test last week and had the results the next morning. And saw a note on the portal that "Labcorp now releases results as soon as available, without waiting for Dr" or something to that effect. I dont believe it was meant just for COVID, my distinct impression was that it was applicable to all test results as long as you were registered on their portal.
As an aside, the urgent care center released the results to THEIR portal 3 days later WTH
It might be just for Covid testing. At Labcorp's portal I see only "If you had a COVID-19 test from LabCorp, your result will be delivered to your LabCorp Patientâ„¢ account as soon as it is available." This leads me to think that for other tests, their policy remains in effect: they post when your results have been sent to the ordering doc and give you the date and time when they will be released to you through the portal. Recently my uPSA results have been sent to my uro the day after my blood draw. If I send him a reminder that he's received my results, he'll post them to his practice's portal, but that can be the same day or the next, depending when he checks his messages. Of course I always double check that result with Labcorp's portal.
