As they say on TV, great question.
I have read that several people have gotten covid-19 a second time.
Moreover, I don't think we know enough about the persistence of the immunological defense mechanisms toward the virus. In other words, how long does protection last? I imagine (!) that this may well vary among different people.

I believe I saw a study today, or yesterday, that indicated six months protection from reinfection. I can't recall where, but I am sure I read it.

The first time i saw the picture of the hair dye running down his cheek i really thought it was a photoshop joke.

As an Italian speaker, I'm laughing. Google goes merrily along and translates any idiom you type literally, without knowing whether the whole idiom needs to be switched out for a more literal phrase or an idiom that is appropriate in the target language, if one exists.

For example "win (an election) by a landslide" in Italian is to win by a "valanga di voti" (literally an "avalanche of votes") or by a "maggioranza schiacciante" (a crushing majority), but not a "frana" (the Italian word for "landslide"). Using "frana" in this case strikes an Italian speaker as if you said "He won by a mudslide" in English. Of course if the listener knows English, too, he'll get your ... drift smile

I actually do speak a little Italian. Very little. I spent 10 years traveling to Italy on bus8ness 3-4 x a year. Most of what I know is useful in reataurants.
I’m not fluent. Google translate is awesome. 😂😂😂. I knew it wasn’t the exact translation, but it worked it was fun. Now the gig is up

Hard to believe, that after six pages of people answering whether, or not, they'd take the vaccine, you come up with that comment.

In other news: Dr. Moncef Slaoui, head of OWS (Operation Warp Speed), said the first Americans could get vaccinated December 11th (the FDA meets December 10th, and could approve the vaccine then).

Yes, I saw his interview this morning. He also said that we should be able to get 20 million people vaccinated in December and another 30 million in January. He predicted "normalcy" by May. Let's all hope he is right!

I believe we will have some degree of normalcy once the vaccines are rolled out: restaurants, all manner of travel/hotels/motels, movie theaters, concerts, car rentals, sporting events, gyms, etc. will come roaring back - the ones that made it anyway. In my area, several shopping malls have filed for bankruptcy. That is partly due to online shopping, BLM "protests", etc., and partly due to the virus; restaurants have also gone under. The restaurant business is a tough one under normal circumstances. The virus was the final nail in the coffin.

"Since the beginning of the pandemic, their debt has increased by $1 trillion, 'bringing total obligations to $1.36 trillion. That’s more than double the roughly $500 billion zombie companies owed at the peak of the financial crisis,' Bloomberg remarks."

A vaccine won't change that one little bit.
