Lupron Injection Question for Canadians

I was told that the 6 month Lupron injections are not available in Canada. Can I ask why and is this a fact?

Been getting Lupron 3 month shot for the last 4 yrs, never was asked about wanting a 6 month shot. Maybe depends on the province, I am in Ontario. Maybe insurance company will not allow it if you have a drug plan.

Thanks Everton.....I was told by the Pharmacy that the 6 month was not available in Canada. Here in PEI, they have to order it in from another province anyway and I'm sure my Insurance would cover it.

Purely the convivence of not having to go order the stuff, pick it up and schedule the injection as often.

I also meant to ask you....have you taken any breaks in those 4 years and are you taking any supplements like Calcium for your bone density?

No breaks from Lupron, taking vitamin D, no calcium getting a 30 day shot of Denosumab.
