As you know, three chemo regimes kicked my ass, along with 10 days of whole head radiation. Once treatment stopped, my team got my GI issues under control, went to rehab to get my strength up.Got bushwhacked with blood in urine. Back to rehab, and getting legs under me

My MO Team is aware that on this final stretch the QOL is very important. Next Standard of Care is scans and potentially Radium 232. My mindset is instead of letting wind down, and looking at 12-18mos, is to try and extent this period. Dr. Pomerantz usually has some clinical trail that may be worthwhile at these interludes. I feel great except for the week legs.

Can any of my fellow warriors who have experience with R232 provide some feedback on side effects. I am ready to restart the battle and go on the offensive again.

GoBucks Thanks. I am hoping my teammates can continue to provide their experiences and decision making on my journey to get double digits (decade long fight).

I was being considered for radium 223 in October, as I had started having alot of hip pain again after 4 yrs of none. The R.O. then spoke to me about SABR 6 treatments, each one 6gy one to hip the next 5 to the prostate bed. This was done once a week until all 6 where done. He had told me the Hospital had just started this treatment. I had next to no side effects a few loose bowel movements.. My PSA has been slowly climbing so we will see if this knocks it back. I am in Canada.

I wish well in your next treatment phase.

Hey all,

Busy day tomorrow. Leave rehab at 730 for blood draw at Dana Farber at 910

Bone scan with contrast at Brigham and women's 10-12.

Cat scan at 315 pm
Return to rehab.

Today was a good day and finally able to stand with walker with no assistance. Bodes well for tomorrow keeping energy level up.

Ambulance transport to Hospital. Received permission for my Sr. Nursing student daughter to get me around hospitals.

Have not touched her in two months. Hugs will be good.

I will let you know about blood work, scans and then start planning for treatment options.

Treatment Status for Prostate Cancer

Tumors in liver/mild progression in bones.

1 – Chemo and Radiation may set back my recovery and set me to hospital. No guarantee’s on longivitey.

2- Home hoscpice – gentle care increased quality of life. Nursing home.

Outlook 6 months to a year.either way.
Going number 2
As you may realize might fight is to change to quality time with my family and friends.
Mileston in May - see KC get pinned as nurse.
Milestone in June catch my last strip bass.
Milestone - Hug my wife and children evey day and let them know i love them everyday.
This not a retreat from the battle, but anew attack to get me to live the important things.

^^^^What he said. Cyclone is the best. Just adding my props. You know how invested you are in people you have never met when their post comes as a gut punch and you are speechless.
