My dear fellow HW PCa forum members:
Sometimes life changes our situation, and us, and sometimes in cruel, horrible, and devastating ways. We must then deal with that when it happens in the best way we know how.
A couple of days ago, my older son Jeff, whom I often referred to in posts here as "the programmer," which he was, suffered a massive heart attack and died suddenly at his home in Jacksonville.
His brother Darrell and I are utterly devastated. The three of us were always very close.
Jeff, age 47, had been having excellent medical check-ups all along, with no indication of any cardiac issues.
But his mother did die of a similar cardiac arrest ten years ago, so there may have been something genetic going on, but the doctors just never saw it coming.
I need to go away and deal with this. I need time. I will not be posting on any of my Internet forums. I may or may not return to this forum.
But if I do not return I will always remember the positive effect that the HW PCa forum has had on me, and I thank you all for that.
I hope for my part that maybe I made some small contribution here through my posts over the years.
I may or may not talk with you all again, but if not, may God bless every one of you.
If any of you would like to say even a brief prayer for Jeff, I thank you.
I must go now.
Goodbye.
