psa and other updates

Hey everyone I hope you are all doing well. Long time no check in so I'll quickly share what I've been up to. First things first, my psa has finally decided to move back in the better direction after trending in what seemed like a forever bounce. I'm happy to report my new "nadir" of .82 psa. Slight but I'll absolutely take that! The anxiety still gets me every single time. Doubt I'll ever get comfortable with opening the results.

I also decided last year to retire from the military. Luckily I was in a position to be able to make that choice while still pretty young (43). Pca has made me reconsider a lot of things about my life and I knew that it was just time for me to move on to something new. I've also recently relocated from Michigan to Florida. Not sure if it will be permanent or even what the next chapter of my life will be. At first I was doing a lot of traveling overseas exploring different cultures until the lockdowns hit. I plan to resume a bit of that once things open back up. For now I'm simply going to try to stay healthy and spend time with loved ones until I figure out whats next.

JNF, thanks. I'm just north of Jacksonville for now. So far I like it. We'll see if the coming heat changes my attitude.

Ohio, how old is that article? You probably won't get many comments agreeing with it....after all, the vast majority of us found out we had cancer following a PSA test and subsequent testing. The days of a high PSA reading going to treatment without biopsy, MRI, etc are long gone. Now we're seeing guys who didn't get regular PSA tests who finally get diagnosed at a point where cure is impossible, where it might have been more easily treated if they had found it earlier.

Frosty....so sorry....keep it keepin on brother....there is light at the end of the tunnel, and you're seeing it!

Jack, I havent ventured out much here yet. I went deep sea fishing this weekend. That was a fun time. Im taking my daughter to Orlando this week when she comes down here and I'll go to Tampa area beaches next month just to sort of mini vacations to see if I like the areas. Eventually I'll check out south Florida. I've heard good things about Malaysia. I've spent time mostly in Philippines, Thailand over last few years. I love it over there.
