Well I always hate getting my PSA test.
I don’t have PC.. at least that I know of.
It was 1.63 last time which was a little over a year ago ..
1.64 the year before ..
I have an enlarged prostate as I’ve been told for the last several years
I’ll be 62 in August .
I didn’t do any of the things I shouldn’t have before the test .
I don’t like seeing it increase ..
My GP said it’s fine ..normal increase.
I’ve kept track of it since I was 40
Was below 1 for years then around one for several years too...

So that rise of .22 in a year is “ ok” ?
Again I do have an enlarged prostate, about
5 yrs ago Dr said it was 55 , not sure what that means
I’m going to post another question about
the best med to treat that.
I have a very weak stream ..
There was a drug I heard that worked great and also had been shown to avoid PC ??

Some thoughts to share ...
You spoke of a weak urination stream in your other post --- and prostate enlargement, and checking into a BPH medication.
For all of this, you might be better served by a urologist, instead of your general practitioner that you mentioned.
You've got some concerns that you've mentioned --- and the issues that you are concerned about
can be expertly addressed by an experienced urologist.
They can address your PSA questions, offer help for BPH, and help you treat your "waterworks" issues, in terms of weakened urination stream.
One appointment, in the right department at your clinic --- the department with the UROLOGY sign above the door.
You've got some questions, they'll have the answers.
Just a thought to consider, wanting all the very best for you ~~~

Out of curiosity what causes you so much angst? Did a family member or someone close to you have PCa?

If you are a worrier, consider having your PSA followed by a urologist. Having a specialist reassure you may help.

Please don't worry about
it.
It's really low.
I wish I was in your shoes.
But it's good to monitor it, so good job!

My oldest brother just this year was diag with PC
His PSA went from 1.8 to almost 4 in a year
His Gleason score I believe was 7
He just finished radiation ..
But I’ve been getting my PSA since I was 40
Just OCD I guess
I do see a urologist , I have a new one as my old one passed away last year
My old one never saw any issues other than the enlarged gland
But I just wondered with a one year increase of .22

Alephnull hit the nail on the head, the way I see it.

So you have been living with Pca for the last 22 years...even tho...as you say ...you don't have it...you must know that nothing is wrong...but something is the matter...deal with that matter with professionals... there is life after counseling...get it and no...I have no suggestions on that...what I just posted should suffice...if in truth...you want to be healed...which is not a stupid question btw...

**watchfull worrier , lol**
The last line of your signature says it all. 🙂
Keep doing your PSA tests, and presumably you're having DREs.
The trick is to only worry about
worrisome things. Easier said than done.😉

CVC, seems to me, that a rise of .22 in a year, WITH AN ENLARGED PROSTATE, is probably something to stay on top of but certainly not freak out about
. With that said, i wouldn't minimize or try to marginalize your worry, whether the reason for worry is perceived or real, the actual worrying on your part is real. I think most of us understand that. It might be a good idea to address that problem with a professional, social worker, psychologist, even maybe one who specializes in cancer patients (even though you are not one)
