I have a question if you don't mind.
For those who have had both doses, why are you hesitant to drop the mask and/or go out to eat?
You should now have an immunity, right?
Just curious, full disclosure, I am not vaccinated.
Alephnull, good questions. Actually, I must admit that I feel fairly invincible with 2 Moderna doses and all of the science /experience now for fully vaccinated folks. I do go out to eat both indoors and out as well as play cards and enjoy socialization with friends. As I indicated in my original post, our life is pretty well normal these days. Re the mask, I wear it inside establishments because (1) it's still not clear whether or not fully vaccinated people might be carriers and I don't want to take a chance on spreading the virus and (2) when establishments request it I feel it's still the socially responsible thing to do to comply. I have no need for in your face macho stuff like, "I don't need no stinkin' mask" that I do see sometimes. Life is good so why add stressors.
Now, if you don't mind, could you please share why with your vulnerabilities you are not vaccinated? My step-mother died of COVID with few vulnerabilities so it's a bit personal with me.
