Hello, DonJ ----
Thankful to hear from you --- good to read your update.
One thought I have --- maybe get a PSA reading in October, rather than waiting until December. It helps provide comparative context for your doctors, and builds in another "data point" --- as you remain vigilant for any fluctuations or trends.
Just an idea to share, after reading your update --- and wanting all the best for you.
My local oncologist has been an advocate for the AXUMIN scan you mentioned. My local treatment center has added that recently, which will be a benefit to many.
Meanwhile, at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, I usually visit Dr. Kwon about twice a year --- and he has me update various scans each time I visit -- which provides comparative images, to stay up-to-date on my case, looking towards the future.
What I REALLY appreciate --- all labs, tests, and scans that I run locally AND at Mayo Clinic are shared electronically with all the doctors on my medical team.
One hears the phrase "COORDINATED CARE" and I have assembled a team that heartily embraces that concept.
In the past, I had two different doctors who didn't know how to embrace the concept of TEAM PLAYER, and I benched them --- after giving them each a very fair chance. All my doctors are consulted, before any major decisions or new treatments are pursued.
Keep us posted, DonJ --- we're all here to support you, along the way. There's tremendous fellowship that abounds here!
Keep in touch!
A good day ahead,
