Does anybody have any information about possibly interaction between Covid vaccines and PSA tests? I can't find much but it would be helpful to know for those closely monitoring their trends.

Anyone noticed any unusual, i.e. unexpected, readings since your vaccine shots?

I don't see anything in the literature. However, any unexpectedly high PSA result should always be checked with a retest after a waiting period. I go for my next visit/PSA test in a week and I'll ask my uro if he's noticed any correlation.

In June this year, after 9 years of undetectable (less than .1) my annual psa test came back as .2 which was a surprise. This result came 4 months after my second covid vaccine shot. The urologist suggested retesting in September. I had read about the suggestion that the vaccine might raise the psa level and asked what she (new urologist to me due to insurance change) thought. She hadn't heard that but didn't think in my case after surgery and radiation there would be any prostate tissue left. Thank you for the article, I might forward it to the urologist.

No idea if it is possible or not. I tried to be informed, since my last psa test was just between my two vaccine shots (by the way both gave me nasty though brief secondary effects). I did not get any conclusive answer and, therefore, I went head with the test. The result was pretty similar to the previous ones, all them showing small osciĺations below 0.1. Consequently, my experimental contribution shows no correlation. Another question is if there is any difference for people with a prostate that may suffer inflammation. Who knows.

This is just one data point, but I received my second shot of Pfizer April 16, meaning I was fully vaccinated on May 1. I had my next PSA test on June 8 and I was 0.03, which was consistent with my previous score.

Simply another anecdote, to add ...

My oncologist is also an expert in infectious disease ... and is a steadfast advocate for his oncology patients --- and encouraging them to receive the corona vaccine.

He kept me on my monthly PSA testing schedule at the clinic --- before, during, and after my two-part PFIZER vaccine shots ...

The vaccine didn't seem to impact the PSA test --- nor did my oncologist state that the vaccine would impact PSA.

Truth be told --- my PSA score was a bit lower following the two-dose PFIZER vaccine.

I personally didn't feel there was a correlation between the vaccine and my PSA score, and my lab testing continues on its usual course.

got second Pfizer shot on April 3rd
uPSA on April 27th <0.014 result, no change

14 years after surgery running around .07. Today 0.13, doubling. I had my 3rd vaccine boost a month ago.

I have severe side effects from 2 and 3rd shot. High fevers for several days.

Interesting, Re test at 3 months.

2 shots in April. May PSA highest ever. June retest undetectable.

Have recently gotten my corona virus BOOSTER vaccine, as recommended by my doctors ...

No spike or adverse effect on my PSA score ... which is assessed monthly.
