Hi everyone, back again after a while, just want to let the new guys know that there is hope, on the 7th July, it has been 14 years since I had the RP and now I am nearing 81 years old and my Pca has been controlled by Casodex and hormone therapy which my Oncologist prescribes when my PSA rises above 9-10. This is about
every 3 years, and I take it for around a year, which usually drops my PSA back to 0.02. Then I get a break from the therapy of around 2.5 years, so this works for me, my PSA at the moment is 0.04 and I have been off the HT for 18 months now, which is great. So guys hope this sort of approach will work for some of you, but I think that new research will bring about
a better way to fight the beast.
This Forum has been a real comfort to me especially in the first few years of coping with Pca, keep up the good work and my thoughts go out to all of you.
Regards Mal.

Great report Mal. Glad to see you are effectively managing the disease. Your example should help many others pursue intermittent ADT. Dr Snuffy Myers used this with many men providing effective control with manageable treatment side effects.
Best wishes for many more years of success.

Congratulations, Maldugs. When I read your post, I suddenly thought of the lyrics from an old Anne Murray song: Nobody robbed a liquor store on the lower part of town
Nobody OD'd, nobody burned a single building down
Nobody fired a shot in anger...nobody had to die in vain
We sure could use a little good news today
You delivered the good news. Thanks.
