Not that big a deal here in Gainesville. It's about
11 AM right now, as I sit here at my keyboard, typing, while looking out the window at a very heavy rain, and skies clouded almost to the point of darkness.
But only about
a 25-30 MPH wind right now, and much more of a "sheeshing" wind sound outside than a "howl."
Fortunately, I had already done some yard work a few weeks ago, trimming out some deadwood from the yard's trees, so only a few small-to-medium-size branches down right now, and no damage. And it'll all be gone in a few hours.
Kinda small potatoes when compared to some of the hurricanes I have seen blow through here.
However, it's always best to remember that even a relatively minor weather event like this one has the power to do damage.Trees will fall and crush a few cars. There will be some flooding in the lower parts of town.
But then it wasn't a Cat5, either.
What it looks like on the weather tracker on the local TV station website:

Hope the weather's is nice wherever you are!
