Hello, Jeff and Stephanie ----
It's been a whirlwind for you both, and very little in life prepares one for the roller coaster ride you have already both endured.
Diagnosed in my 40s, at the beginning of a new school year, I remember reeling emotionally. I remember anxious thoughts, worrisome fears, and sleepless nights.
None of this comes with a coach's playbook. This forum is a GODSEND, in terms of camaraderie and fellowship and support.
It took a while, but the biggest life lesson I have learned is to focus on ONE DAY AT A TIME.
Look for the value in each day --- focus on positive things --- count those small blessings --- and live in the moment.
I learned the importance of drawing strength from my family, friends, and faith. I also began to build bonds with my medical team, and they continue to lead me forward.
I have been thinking of you both, and I hope tomorrow's consultation will bring clarity.
Above all else ---- we are here for you, and you have people thinking of you both, from across the miles. I am just one of those people.
No one here fights alone. We're rallied around you. We're walking alongside you. We ALL draw strength from each other!
Fellowship, friendship, camaraderie ~~~
