Brain surgery has been pushed up!

I’ve mentioned before how much I love my Jeff’s radiation oncologist, Dr. Shumway. He has an impeccable bedside manner and I have always felt he genuinely cares. I truly can’t say enough positive things about him and I’m so grateful he has been a part of Jeff’s care team.

Dr. Shumway personally called Jeff to wish him well and to sing praises of the radiation oncologist Jeff was referred to for his brain tumors. Jeff’s new radiation oncologist specializes in treating brain cancer and Dr. Shumway implied she’s “the best”. Suffice it to say, we both feel Jeff is receiving phenomenal care and attention.

Jeff was also contacted by his new radiation oncologist. She is concerned that if Jeff waits for surgery, that the tumors may continue to grow and have the propensity to cause irreversible brain damage.

After consulting with radiation oncology and Jeff’s neurosurgeon team, it has been decided that Jeff will undergo brain surgery on September 9th.
