The GFMPH gathering in NY is less than 3 weeks away.

GFMPH NY 2021 will be Sept 30 through Oct 3. There is another thread going on about the gathering but I am much too self-important to post a comment at the bottom of someone else's thread and a gathering is a big deal.
I will be there, for one thing, but if that isn't enough to convince you to attend then if you have never been to a GFMPH gathering it is quite a thing. It can be a literally life-changing event... if your life needs changing. Guys who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer and who feel alone and afraid can be pulled back from the brink. For guys like me -- pulled back from the brink some years ago -- it is an opportunity to catch up with some of my best friends in the world.
Our host, Worried Guy has once again graciously allowed me the use of his tent in his back yard. Some people may tell you that sleeping in a tent in NY in October is a good way to freeze your ass off but the tent is comfortable and fairly well insulated. I think he has a new tent this year but I have slept in his previous tent a number of times and my ass did not freeze off... not entirely, anyway. I'll be there to demonstrate that I have plenty of ass left.

GFMPH NY didn't happen last year because COVID restrictions didn't allow it but this year the restrictions have been loosened and the gathering can go forward.

The event is open to the public but there are still a few guidelines to be observed in light of the still-ongoing pandemic. I'll invite our host to post a comment with the latest updates to the guidance for those wishing to attend.

Thanks Peter, I was going to post a not about that very same thing. My wife and I will be flying in on Wednesday and will fly back home on that Sunday. It will be so nice to see some guys there.

Those of you not familiar with it should do a search in HW. This one is near Rochester, NY. Next year if all goes well I will host in the BatonRouge, LA area. Any of you guys that are interested feel free to message me and I will call you. More than likely people that don’t live too far away.

Hey Worried Guy, my wife and I will be there for sure. I have been at your GFMPH compound twice, the last time I slept in a tent in the woods, this time it will be a nice comfy hotel room. My wife has not been to the NY Style GFMPH but has made many friends at the Cajun Style gathering over the years and can't wait to be part of the Yankee version. You and Ms. Worried guy do an amazing job at these gatherings. The very first Gathering I attended was 3 months after my prostate surgery at your compound and it got me out of a very low place in my life at that time for which I am still grateful.

I have said this many times but the ONLY good part of giving up my sick prostate 10 years ago was the friendships made at the GFMPH gatherings and we look forward to seeing all the great guys and gals in 3 weeks.

We both are fully vaccinated and will be taking a PCR Covid test prior to flying out just to be safe.

It looks like we've got about 16 people coming. That is a nice workable and safe number.
We've planned a visit to the local Cidery on Friday, the car show in town on Sat and/or Sunday, a small craft show on Saturday and a golf challenge where you get to try and hit a car. for prizes.
Of course the activities and days will be subject to the weather.
Meals are still firming up
Thursday is local hot dog, hamburger, plates. Mac Saladsi
Friday meals are Sandwiches Seafood, shrimp, clams, etc. and chicken BBQ
Sat is BBQ pulled pork, ribs, pasta salad, etc.
Sunday is still flexible. Helping us eat the leftovers!

We're exhausted already and it hasn't started.
